CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's Skateboard Launch: A Fusion of Music and Skate Culture (2025)

Legendary punk-metal band CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (C.O.C.) has unleashed a high-octane line of skate decks, COC Skateboards, in collaboration with Volatile Skateboards. This long-awaited fusion of music and skate culture is now live at cocskateboards.com (http://www.cocskateboards.com/).

C.O.C.'s rebellious spirit and outsider roots have always been synonymous with raw energy, free thought, and explosive expression. Now, that ethos rides again on skateboards.

"Skating and C.O.C. have always been synonymous," says the band. "This is more than merch — it's a movement. No compromise. No apologies. Just pure attitude." Whether you're bombing hills or hanging decks on your wall, COC Skateboards are built to make mamas cry since 1982.

In September, C.O.C. released a special rendition of 'Fire And Water' by English rock band FREE. The classic track was originally made available in 1970 on the FREE album of the same name. C.O.C.'s version came spontaneously in the studio during downtime while recording their new full-length album, set for release next year, and serves as the first of the 'Riffissippi Studio Jam Sessions', a special collection of jammed-out interpretations of songs by some of the band's favorite artists.

C.O.C. recently completed a North American tour supporting JUDAS PRIEST and Alice Cooper. The trek, which commenced on September 16 in Biloxi, Mississippi, and ran through October 26 in Houston, Texas, included several C.O.C. one-off headlining shows scattered throughout.

Since forming in 1982, C.O.C. has woven their distinct riffs deep into the fabric of heavy metal for over four decades. Across ten landmark, critically acclaimed albums, the band has continued evolving. From the early days of thrash to their more recent, blues-infused metal, C.O.C. has managed to progress with each release, keeping fans and critics alike guessing.

C.O.C.'s last full-length album, 'No Cross No Crown', was released in 2018 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Recorded with longtime producer John Custer, the record marked the first studio recording with guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan in over a decade. It earned the No. 67 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart, No. 12 on the Billboard Top Current Albums chart, and No. 3 on the Top Hard Music Albums chart upon its first week of release, making it the highest-charting album of the band's career.

Some of the guitar-recording sessions for C.O.C.'s upcoming LP took place at a private Miami, Florida, studio owned by Barry Gibb of the BEE GEES.

Last October, C.O.C. recruited Bobby Landgraf, a former DOWN guitarist and current PANTERA bass tech, to play bass for the band on the 2024 Headbangers Boat cruise. He has since joined C.O.C. in the studio and on the concert stage.

In September 2024, Mike Dean, the founding bassist, announced his departure from the band. Two years ago, C.O.C. confirmed the return of drummer Stanton Moore for its upcoming album. Reed Mullin, the drummer who co-founded C.O.C. in 1982, passed away in January 2020 at the age of 53.
